Robert D. Stuchiner
Robert D. Stuchiner is the Founder and Strategic Advisor of Synergy Life Brokerage Group, LLC. Synergy specializes in designing and implementing cost-effective strategies to mitigate risk, maximize flexibility and reduce taxes. Synergy has been recognized by Private Asset Management as best high-net-worth insurance agency in both 2013 and 2014.
Robert’s knowledge of estate planning, executive benefits and planned charitable giving as well as his ability to perform “due diligence” on Insurance products and carriers makes him a resource to Industry professionals seeking to implement Insurance strategies in the affluent markets.
Mr. Stuchiner has worked for some of the largest Insurance companies, most recently AIG where he was a senior vice president in charge of product development and market strategy for the corporate and affluent markets group. In his industry experience, Robert was a pioneer in life insurance and annuity products as well as senior life settlements.
Robert is the co-creator and founder of the Insuring A Better World Fund, a public charity whose mission is to raise funds for other charities by directing the value of unneeded or unaffordable life insurance to the charity of the donor’s choosing. Robert is the 2015 recipient of the Stephen A. Kramer Humanitarian Award granted by the UJA-Federation of New York.
Mr. Stuchiner has published articles on life insurance products and carriers in Trusts & Estates magazine, CCH professional publications and the NYU Review of Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation. Robert is a featured and highly rated speaker at Industry meetings of attorneys, accountants, and Insurance Professionals. Robert serves on the board for The New York Society of Financial Services Professionals and the Center for Financial Studies. He received his MBA from the Stern School at New York University and his BA from Sarah Lawrence College. Mr. Stuchiner is the winner of the National Career Achievement Award granted by the Lighthouse for the Blind.

Jeffrey S. Patterson
Jeff Patterson has nearly 20 years in the life insurance business. He started with Mass Mutual as a career agent focusing on the business marketplace. After several years of successful personal production selling life, DI and mutual funds he began marketing Mass Mutual’s products to local life agents. Within a year he accepted a position with a nationally recognized life brokerage firm as an advanced sales director. Over the next ten years, Jeff grew to oversee all aspects of the agency operations including case design, underwriting, agent relationships and office management.
Jeff has the “hands-on” experience and knowledge to work with life agents from case design through underwriting and to policy placement. Jeff has a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University. When he is not working he is kept busy with his three children’s active lifestyle.

Stephanie Alper-Lisi, CLU®
Stephanie Alper-Lisi is the President of Synergy Life Brokerage and she handles business development in the New York City office. She has been in the financial services industry for over a decade. Stephanie started her career as an agent with New York Life in the Philadelphia area. In 2006, she took a position with Merrill Lynch in their insurance division as a Business Development Specialist, working closely with field agents and providing all their pre-sale support needs. She has been working in the brokerage community since 2008.
Stephanie has worked closely with insurance carriers, brokerage advisors and financial institutions. Her experience has allowed her to bring product knowledge to the table, providing advisors with the pre-sale tools necessary to close the sale. She keeps advisors abreast of industry changes, new product ideas and provides marketing content for their clients.

Steven J. Huebner
His 36 years’ experience has provided Steve a diversified and broad knowledge of the insurance business from both home office and field level perspectives with major carriers. Steve started his career in 1973 with Liberty Mutual’s New York City downtown office as commercial lines sales representative. During his career in sales management, Steve has built distribution channels in several parts of the country including New York, California and Texas. Steve has a reputation for “getting it done.”
Steve has held many positions in the HR and business development departments of the insurance companies he has worked for. He is happiest when he is working in the field “helping people succeed”. Steve has wholesaled mutual funds, life insurance, annuities, DI, group products to and within every distribution channel.

Brian Kaplan
Brian has been involved in the life insurance industry for the past 17 years. He works with a wide range of producers in helping them fulfill their client’s life insurance needs. Specifically, Brian has worked closely with the life agents to grow their sales, assisting in advanced case design such as premium financing, deferred compensation and split dollar sales. Brian has conducted seminars for his brokers on a variety of topics to help show areas of opportunity for them to grow their business. Brian began his career with the Hartford in 1995. Thereafter, he was with both New England Financial and Phoenix working consistently as one of their top producers.
